Today I want to share with you, Fabled Masses of the World, my somewhat poetic side. (Everyone's a poet these days). So here's my contribution to heartful blunders.
Of these Bones
Of these bones you will wonder, of these bones you will see. Of these bones you will whisper, of these bones you will come with me.
Often you will see me, often will you wonder who i could be, often you will tell me, who and what i should be. Often you will claim, that you can see, all that makes me, me. Often i will tell you who i am and what makes me, me. Often you will not listen and when you do it's only for your own but's and maybe's.
Of my blood you will hunger, of my blood you will feed. Of my blood you will become a lover, of my blood you will bleed.
Never will you remember the gentle truth I've shared with you. Never will you endeavour to become more than my enemy
Of my skin you will discover the soul that lives within, of my skin you will remember all my sins that have left me thin.
And still you will tell me who i am and should have been. And who am i to tell you, when all you say makes you win?
Strangers
A stranger walked in and told me I was wonderful
A stranger walked in and helped my heart beat again
A stranger walked in and touched my skin
That stranger was you.
And in an instance we became more than strangers
We became more than friends
We became more than strange
And then you left without word without lie
I tried to tell you, I tried to fly
I tried to see you, I tried smile
I tried to let you see, that all was fine.
That I would never heart you
That I would never die.
But the hurt your silence brought broke my heart
It rips and tears. And in its snare I became mortal
Once again I began to die
I thought by now I would be used to this
I thought by now I would be a master in the fine art of
Surrender
Of walking away with my tail between my legs
You walked away and strangers we became once more
The smiles I had for you have vanished and the space in my heart that
Held your name now lies in dusty ruin
Never the same
Like ships in the night we pass strangely without sound
Try honesty the next time you see me
And if you are not a coward, greet me sweetly
But we have become strangers
once more
Stranger than before
We have become strangers once more
Stranger than before
